Background and Bio
Mike Roberto grew up in Ravenna, Ohio, before earning a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University. He went on to receive a Master's in Secondary Educational Administration and an Education Specialist Degree (EdS), both from Kent State. Roberto spent 15 years teaching in Summit and Portage County public schools before serving as assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and finally superintendent of Aurora Schools from 2020 to 2025. He and his wife, Lisa, married more than 30 years ago, started their family in Cuyahoga Falls, and raised their four children, Brendon, Joe, Dominic, and Sophia, in Aurora before retiring to Kent.
